The Cedar is running small. If you're between sizes, size up.
I absolutely love my Cedar in the olive color. I wear a size 10 and the medium fits great, even with a sweater under it. The pockets are wonderfully room and the hood isn’t too unwieldy—so you can actually wear it in the rain. I haven’t been in the pouring rain yet, but it’s done well in the rain I’ve experienced. It’s cozy enough on a 50 degree day. Love love love it!
I had been lusting after this jacket for quite some time, and took advantage of their holiday sale to finally claim one as my own. It’s well worth full-price though, on looks alone! The length is perfect for those soggier days, but also works well when you want to dress up a bit and don, well, a dress! It’s lining is cozy and warm, and the pockets are better than any other pockets I’ve had- they’re deep enough to keep you warm, and they’re magical because the things you toss in the front top-flap pockets actually sit behind the hand pockets, keeping the aesthetic smooth and your keys/phone don’t dig into the tops of your hands. The only reason I rate this four stars instead of five, is because I had some hesitation with sizing. The medium fits snugger and looks more streamlined, but won’t allow for much layering, but the large was just a touch too large and didn’t look quite as tailored, though it would allow for layers. I took a risk and went with medium, and I’m happy with that decision, but I really wish there wasn’t such a big difference between the two sizes! Regardless, I look forward to wearing this jacket for many seasons to come. This was my first Bridge & Burn purchase, but it will definitely not be my last.
Overall, this is a great coat. I'm 5'4" normally a 0-2 dress size or XS. I sized up to a small, which fits me perfectly (and allows for a sweater underneath). I really like this coat as an alternative to gortex or other synthetic rain deterrent. The only issue is starting the zipper is a bit clumsy and often takes a few tries.
Perfect coat for Portland. Waterproof, warm, classically stylish. Slim cut is flattering. Shipped coat had a defective snap and returned it to retail store to get replacement with no issues.
Great customer service!
I am obsessed with this jacket. It is versatile—you can wear it over a T-shirt on a drizzly day or layer it for colder snowy weather (I’ve comfortably done both!) the first day I wore it I got stuck in pouring rain and it sheltered me against the elements. I get lots of compliments and people asking where I got my jacket. Additionally, the it has a lot of beautiful details that the photos don’t do justice. If you’re thinking about buying it, you should!
