About the Playlist
"I was thinking about the onset of autumn, which is often a time of reflection after the summer months. I chose songs with groove, with quiet moments, with bursts of angst and energy and desire. I wanted the sonic elements to wrestle with a multitude of feeling, to swing for the highs and conjure the lows, and to allow contemplation. If nothing else, it’s a soundtrack for crisp leaves underfoot, the damp cold seeping in, and being alone without being lonely." - Carrie Brownstein

About the Cover
I have had a long love affair with drawing/documenting/collecting objects and processing emotions and stories around the inanimate things/stuff/wants/needs in our lives for the last 20 years. When I was told that Carrie's mix was going to be one for fall, I immediately knew that I needed to paint up a bunch of sweaters for the music to wear. Many of these sweaters are imaginary, but many of these sweaters are folded in my closet ready to wear for the upcoming season. Happy fall y'all.
