IT'S BEATS & BURN VOL. 17!
DJ Dannon Dripps, brings us a Shoegaze heavy playlist -- a musical ode to the end of a month full of contradictions. Shoegaze bands take beautiful, lush melodies and bury them under layers of noise and distortion. So, relax and enjoy yourself, but don’t get too comfortable. This collection of mostly upbeat Shoegaze songs provides the perfect soundtrack for the end of May, whether you are driving with the windows down and the stereo turned up, or snuggled under a blanket with your headphones watching the never-ending drizzle.

Playlist by DJ Dannon Drips / Flannel Flag
"It’s probably the combination of The Jesus and Mary Chain coming to town, and Slowdive releasing not only their first album in 22 years, but perhaps the finest in the genre for just as long, that has had me on a serious Shoegaze kick this month. When you really think of it though, Shoegaze music is a lot like the weather in May - It's a month that will give you some of the nicest days of the year, and then pile on a week of rain and the occasional downpour of hail. Get ready to enjoy the unexpected lush, distorted sounds of Shoegaze."
