      Retail Store Manager

        Employment Type: Full Time
        Work location: 
        Downtown, Portland
        Pay:
        $22 - $28/hr DOE

        Role Overview:

        We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing sales and profitability.

        Primary Responsibilities:

        • Manage and lead a team of retail associates, providing guidance, training, and support
        • Create and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve store targets
        • Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
        • Oversee the visual merchandising of the store to maximize sales potential
        • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
        • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional manner
        • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
        • Interview, hire, and train new employees as needed
        • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and product knowledge
        • Utilize retail math to analyze sales data, track performance, and make informed business decisions

        Experience and Qualifications:

        • Proven experience in team management within a retail environment
        • Strong knowledge of retail operations, including cash register operation, stock management, and visual merchandising
        • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers
        • Experience in conducting interviews and hiring new employees
        • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
        • Proficient in using technology such as point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
        • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
