The August playlist is an eclectic end-of-summer music mix created for us by Jem Marie, a.k.a. DJ Jemini, a talented Portland based visual artist, songwriter and founder of The Ghost Ease and Murmur Ring. Jem also produces her own XRAY.fm radio show called Not Without a Sound as DJ Jemini. Not one to categorize her musical tastes, DJ Jemini plays new and aged, local and not, alternative rock, grunge, dream pop, experimental and multi-cultural tunes.

Brooke Weeber is a Portland-based illustrator who brings whimsical, nature-based scenes to life. Her complex pieces combine animals with instruments, ribbons with clouds and always feature her iconic subtle color palette and playful, adventurous aesthetic. Brooke finds her inspiration from various natural landscapes, her own life experiences as well as Folk art. She runs a successful online shop, Little Canoe, and caters to clients around the world, but most of her time is spent daydreaming about her next adventure.
