Why Recycled Fibers Matter

Good, us too! And what we hate even more is the over 5 billion tons of textile waste in landfills and the devastating amount of water used to produce a single cotton t-shirt (that's about 1,300 gallons of water, by the way).

 

We believe that investing in textile recycling is a vital part of our global path towards a livable future, which is why we are proud to work with one of the most innovative leaders in the up-cycling textile industry, ColorSorts.

ColorSorts: Peak Sustainability

All of our recycled fabrics come from ColorSorts; an innovative program tackling the issue of cotton water-footprint in garment production by up-cycling textile waste into new, high-quality garments without additional need for dyeing or water usage. By converting cotton waste into new garments—simply through sorting the waste by color—they recoup the resources that have already been used to produce this fiber and work towards creating a closed loop production process.
