We’re celebrating Juneteenth by taking this day to pause and reflect. Our organization has made the decision to close for the day from normal business in order to give our employees the ability to celebrate this holiday—whether that’s reading and learning more, supporting Black-owned businesses in our community or joining in a virtual celebration.
At the same time, we also have to acknowledge that we are late to the game. Juneteenth has long been a day of celebration in the African American community and we, like so many other companies, are only just now giving it its rightful place as a paid company holiday. To that end, we can only reaffirm our commitment to doing better; in our mission to working towards inclusivity in all aspects of our business and creating a company culture that is welcoming and safe for all. We see it as our responsibility to no longer be silent.
If you’re interested in celebrating with us, here are a few ways you can join in too...
